Product Overview
Warranty:
  • Limited Warranty: The LSU (item 78002001) comes with a five (5) year limited warranty, excluding the Canisters, Tubing systems and Battery. See the enclosed “Laerdal Global Warranty” for terms and conditions.
  • The Battery is warranted for90 days.
  • NOTE: The warranty periods for suction units and batteries begin at the time of purchase from Laerdal. If inventory is maintained for stock purposes, please be sure to rotate the products by purchase dates. To maximize the shelf-life of batteries it is strongly recommended to deplete all inventory within 6 months from time of purchase.
Battery:
  • The LSU must be placed on charge for a minimum of 4 hours to reach full battery capacity.
  • The LSU must be charged between each clinical use - to maintain satisfactory operation of the battery.
  • To prolong Battery lifetime, it is recommended to place the Battery on continuous charge. It will not harm the unit. If continuous charging is not possible, charge Battery for minimum 4 hours once a month.
  • If LSU battery is kept on constant charge, perform device test at least once a month to exercise battery.
  • Do not store the battery when it is discharged. Always fully charge the battery before storage.
  • Replace the battery when it does not pass the Battery Quality Check or after 3 years, whichever comes first.
  • The battery warranty period starts when Laerdal ships the battery to the customer or distributor. Although not a requirement, Laerdal expects the batteries shipped to be placed into Service (and start recharge cycle) within one year.
